‘Pretty Little Liars’ star Shay Mitchell looks ready for summer on the May 2016 cover of FLARE Magazine. The actress wears a striped Stella McCartney top and pants with colorful hues and pleated detail. Inside the fashion glossy, Shay poses for Nino Munoz in even more designer looks from the likes of Fendi and Marni styled by Hayley Atkin. Shay’s look is finished with her hair in tousled waves and a radiant makeup look.

In her interview, she opens up about writing a book, Kim Kardashian’s naked selfie and more. “Kim is a grown woman, and she can make her own decisions,” Shay says about the infamous Instagram post. “I’m not about to judge her for her nude selfie. What I do have a problem with is young girls doing it for attention or to get more likes. They don’t realize it’s going to be on the Internet for all time.”

Shay also talks about editing social media photos. “Sure, I’m guilty of taking out a blemish here and there. And I’m also not afraid to tell people, ‘Oh, to get that one good photo, I took 5,000.’ These photos are going to be out there forever.”

Chloë Sevigny, possibly floating. Photo: Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty ImagesChloë Sevigny, possibly floating.

On Tuesday night, Chloë Sevigny attended the premiere of her upcoming film "Love & Friendship," the 1790s period piece co-starring Kate Beckinsale. Always one to keep the red carpet interesting, Sevigny showed up in an evening ensemble that was very on brand for the fashion-loving actress. The multilayered georgette gown by Prada includes bell sleeves, bejeweled white cuffs and floral embroidery with crystals that make her outfit even more ethereal. We wouldn't be surprised if she actually floated across the red carpet.

But Sevigny's updo is what really pulls it all together. To show off her gown's embellished collar, hairstylist Blake Erik gave the actress milkmaid braids, which has been a popular choice for Sevigny lately — and we have the Instagram shots to prove it!

The impact of tuberculosis on Victorian trends
Carolyn Day, author of the upcoming "Consumptive Chic: A History of Fashion, Beauty and Disease," looks at the ways in which tuberculosis influenced Victorian fashion and beauty trends. For instance, middle- and upper-class women attempted to emulate the physical side effects caused by frequent low-grade fever, such as flushed cheeks, red lips and pale skin. When Robert Koch isolated the bacteria in 1882 and people's understanding of tuberculosis began changing, fashion trends such as the corset and long skirts came under attack.

The cost of being a model
Being a model seems glamorous and easy, but according to a new report, many models never see a huge chunk of their earnings. Agency commissions and business expenses (plane tickets, head shots, portfolios) add up and since models are often considered independent contractors, they usually have to pay for it all themselves.
