Jeremy Scott has signed with talent and fashion agency WME-IMG. The announcement arrives on the heels of Moschino's recent plans to unveil its men's spring 2017 and women's resort 2017 collections in Los Angeles, where Scott is based, in June. The runway show will take place during the city's first-ever Made Los Angeles by Made Fashion Week, which was acquired by WME-IMG last year. Are we connecting the dots here?

Scott reaching "designer as celebrity" level seems like a natural step in his career; pop culture is almost always a key point of inspiration in every collection for both his namesake brand and Moschino. He's referenced everything in the mainstream psyche: musiccartoonsfast food chain logosand even household cleaning products

Fashion industry folks seeking representation is nothing new. Influential bloggers frequently get signed to digitally focused agencies and bigger-name fashion personalities snag top Hollywood talent agencies like CAA (Leandra Medine, Diane von Furstenberg and, most recently, Heidi Klum, are examples). In 2013, Bryanboy left CAA to sign with IMG. Scott was also previously signed to CAA, through which his full-length documentary was released, before making the switch to WME-IMG.

The move could certainly be a boon for his celebrity status. The global agency will split his engagements in fashion (IMG) and entertainment (WME), which runs the gamut from appearances in film and television to theater and books. Can we expect a new series from Jeremy Scott on IMG-WME's fashion-focused network Made2Measure? Perhaps. The show business world is your oyster, Jeremy!
